Fans Raise Concerns Over Dangerous Airport Situations During SEVENTEEN’s Schedules

The confusion whenever SEVENTEEN members appeared at the airport for their overseas schedules is a hot topic

After completing the concert tour “FOLLOW”, SEVENTEEN has been taking a rest and focusing on individual activities while preparing for the next comeback. In particular, some members went overseas for fashion week events. Despite appearing at the airport alone, SEVENTEEN still struggled to enter the departure hall because of the chaotic scene when too many fans gathered to see the members.

Recently, a photo showing SEVENTEEN’s Jun being surrounded by a lot of fans at Chengdu airport caused a stir on the Internet. Even with 8 bodyguards, Jun couldn’t find a way to move and was stuck in the middle of the crowd for a long time.

According to witnesses, hundreds of fans flocked to the male idol, creating a scene that looked similar to a zombie movie. To avoid disturbing other people at the airport, Jun reportedly had to stay in the WC for 20-30 minutes until the situation got better.

Prior to that, Jeonghan and Mingyu also faced similar situations when they arrived at the airport to depart for the Paris Fashion Week.

In the case of Jeonghan, it was his first schedule after recovering from injury, many fans came to the airport to meet and take photos of him. Struggling to get through the crowd with flashes from all sides, the SEVENTEEN member still smiled brightly and waved at fans enthusiastically.

Mingyu also proved his professionalism by smiling and signing for fans while trying to move out of the airport. In the middle of the chaotic scene, he still cared about fans’ safety.

Noticing the seriousness of the issue, SEVENTEEN’s agency strengthened security by having more bodyguards accompanying their idols. However, the situation has not gotten any better, and it may cause fear and injure the members.

Earlier in December 2023, SEVENTEEN’s The8 was seen covering his ears and head in pain as he was surrounded by numerous fans at Chengdu Airport, China. As the scene spread online, international fans poured criticism on HYBE and Pledis for their ignorance of the artist’s safety and demanded more bodyguards to accompany SEVENTEEN members on their individual schedules.
