Ahn Bo-hyun’s hard carry keeps “Flex X Cop” at the top in viewership ratings
"Flex X Cop" once again secured the top spot in viewership ratings amidst the onslaught of new dramas, with only 4 episodes left
SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama “Flex X Cop” narrates the romantic storyline of Jin I-soo (Ahn Bo-hyun), an immature third generation chaebol turned detective, and Lee Gang-hyun (Park Ji-hyun), a veteran detective in the violent crime department.
The recently aired Episode 12 recorded the highest viewership ratings of 14.2% nationwide and 11.0% in the Seoul metropolitan area, maintaining its firm grip on the top spot in viewership ratings for the same time slot and Saturday dramas, even amid the fierce competition from new dramas. Additionally, it topped the 2049 (viewers aged 20~49) viewership ratings with 2.9%, making it the highest-rated mini-series across all channels for the week (according to Nielsen Korea).
Along with this, there has been praise for the performance of Ahn Bo-hyun in “Flex X Cop”.
Portraying the unprecedented character of a “third generation chaebol turned detective” in the drama, Ahn Bo-hyun showcases his ability to solve crimes without hesitating to use his wealth and influence within the strict ranks and rules of the police system. His swift and decisive actions in apprehending criminals provide viewers with satisfaction and entertainment.
In fact, Ahn Bo-hyun’s remarkable performance is attributed to his extraordinary passion for acting. To embody the character of Jin I-soo, he obtained a yacht sailing license, personally invited celebrity chef Baek Jong-won for a surprise appearance in Episode 1, and even attached his bangs to his right eyebrow to create his trademark Tanghulu hairstyle. Such dedication proves that Ahn Bo-hyun is worthy of the accolade as the “new SBS cider hero following in the footsteps of Kim Nam-gil, Namkoong Min and Lee Je-hoon”.

“Flex X Cop” is progressing towards a happy ending as I-soo and Gang-hyun successfully lead the undercover investigation into the cult “Oryun Community” and assist Hyung-jun (Kwon Hae-hyo) in reinstatement.
However, at the end of Episode 12, a death occurs at the home of I-soo’s father, Jin Myeong-chul (Jang Hyun-sung). The preview reveals that the last person the deceased spoke to was I-soo’s older brother Jin Seung-ju, hinting at upcoming complications. The drama airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 PM.
