“This is the most interesting drama I’ve ever seen”…  “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is seeing an amazing trend on its rating chart

ENA’s drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, which is currently a hot topic, has captivated more viewers on the small screen.

According to the rating research company Nielsen Korea on July 6th, the 3rd episode of ENA’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” recorded a nationwide rating of 4.032%.

“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” started with a rather low rating of only 0.948% in the first episode. The figure rose slightly to 1.805% right after episode 2 was broadcast.

Thanks to word of mouth, “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” drew keen attention by surpassing 4% after only 3 episodes despite not being aired on a terrestrial or cable channel. The drama’s rating soared 4 times compared to that in the first episode.

Apart from breaking the highest rating record in the history of ENA channel, “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” also achieved a better performance than other ongoing TV series. With its popularity proved through the rise in ratings, the drama recently dominated the No.1 spot on Netflix’s ‘Today’s TOP 10 Series in South Korea’.

Meanwhile, “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” depicts the survival of Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin), a rookie lawyer who has a genius brain and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), working and trying to survive in a large law firm. Many viewers are showing enthusiastic reviews for Park Eun-bin’s acting transformation as Woo Young-woo which broke prejudice in a pleasant way. 

In addition, the performances of other characters around Woo Young-woo, including Lee Joon-ho (Kang Tae-oh), Jung Myung-seok (Kang Ki-young), and Kwon Min-woo (Joo Jong-hyuk), also add fun and warmth to the story and contribute to rise in the drama’s viewer rating.
