“Exhuma” invited to Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival + achieving 10 million admissions soon “Double good news”

Director Jang Jae-hyun's "Exhuma", on the verge of achieving 10 million admissions, has been officially invited to the International Competition section of the 42nd Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival

On March 22nd, Showbox announced this news. The 42nd Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, which will be held from April 9th to 21st, is one of the world’s top three fantastic film festivals, along with Spain’s Sitges Film Festival and Portugal’s Fantasporto.

So far, Korean films such as Director Bong Joon-ho’s “The Host” and Director Kim Jee-woon’s “I Saw the Devil” have won the prestigious Golden Raven award, and other films like “Hunt” and “Hansan: Rising Dragon” have also been invited.

Chris Orgelt, the chief programmer of the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, stated, “We are proud to present the movie ‘Exhuma‘, which is shaking up the Korean box office, at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. ‘Exhuma’ is a supernatural work that deals with religion, death and the afterlife, offering fresh shocks.

Meanwhile, “Exhuma” is expected to surpass 10 million admissions by March 24th, having attracted 9,591,010 viewers as of March 21st.
