“Ethnicity = Korean-Chinese”… Jessica Jung is included in Chinese girl group survival program’s list

Rumors of Jessica’s appearance in a Chinese entertainment show are becoming true.

On April 3rd, the list of season 3 cast members of “Sisters Who Make Waves” was leaked and spread online. “Sisters Who Make Waves” is a survival program in which female celebrities in their 30s or older make their debut as a five-member girl group through a competition.

A total of 58 people were listed on the online list. One of the notable figures is Jung Soo-yeon (former Girls’ Generation member Jessica‘s Korean name), who was located at No.22.

The list also included Jessica‘s personal information. Born in 1989 in the United States, she was introduced as a singer and actress who graduated from Korea Kent Foreign School as well as a former Girls’ Generation member. Her ethnicity was marked as “Korean-Chinese” and it was written that she had already arrived in Changsha, Hunan Province, China for filming.

A Chinese netizen also reported that Jessica finished filming the stage for two songs “Perfect” and “The Lost Sandbar” in Changsha on April 3rd.

Meanwhile, Jessica lost in 2019 after being sued for 2 billion won by a Chinese management company for violating the contract.
