Actors Yoon Hyun-min and Baek Jin-hee have put an end to their seven-year relationship.
Yoon Hyun-min and Baek Jin-hee, who were known as one of the entertainment industry’s prominent “public couples,” recently broke up. The two became acquainted while co-starring in the 2016 drama “My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol” and had been dating for seven years with the support of their fans.
News of their breakup started to spread at the end of August through broadcasting and film industry insiders. A broadcasting industry source close to them revealed, “It is true that Yoon Hyun-min and Baek Jin-hee have separated. They have decided to support each other as fellow actors rather than as lovers.”
The source continued, “Given that they had been in a long-term relationship, this was not an easy decision, and they must have had feelings of sadness and regret. We hope for their comfort and unchanging support as they move forward as fellow actors.”
Yoon Hyun-min and Baek Jin-hee’s relationship had reportedly cooled off due to their busy schedules and continuous acting activities in dramas and films.
Yoon Hyun-min, following his appearance in the ENA drama “Color Rush” that ended in May, is currently a regular cast member on the JTBC variety show “Laughing Boss.” He is also starring in the highly anticipated film “The Return of the Family: Returns,” set to be released during the Chuseok holiday, marking his most active period since his debut.
On the other hand, Baek Jin-hee has been portraying the lead role in the KBS 2TV weekend drama “The Real One” since May. The drama has been achieving over 20% average viewership ratings, and Baek Jin-hee has garnered significant love and attention as a result.
Yoon Hyun-min and Baek Jin-hee gained fame for their roles as the main characters in the drama “My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol,” and their on-screen chemistry translated into a real-life relationship, capturing headlines. “My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol” achieved explosive ratings in the 30% range at the time and is considered a “legendary drama.” It has been rebroadcast on Highlight TV since August.
