Actors Shim Hyung Tak, Woo Do Hwan and BLACKPINK Jisoo all have a cute thing in common!

On the occasion of “Children’s Day” today (May 5th), let’s take a look at “kidult (kid + adult) celebrities” who cannot stand cute things like children.

First, there is actor Shim Hyung Tak, a representative kidult in the entertainment industry. Shim Hyung Tak even met his lifelong spouse thanks to his love for the animation character Doraemon. His Japanese girlfriend Hirai Saya was an employee of Bandai, a famous Japanese toy company. The two will get married in July after 4 years of dating.

BLACKPINK Jisoo is known for her love for the Sanrio character “Hello Kitty”. She frequently posts about Kitty on SNS as well as tells fans and the public that she is a fan of this character. She even opened a pop-up store in collaboration with Kitty to commemorate the release of her first solo album “ME” last month.

Woo Do Hwan did not reveal that he is a fan of a specific character, but he revealed his unexpected taste of liking various cute characters. He introduced his pet plant “King King” on the April 28th broadcast of MBC’s “I Live Alone”. He also showed off his own drawings of cute characters and spent a long time admiring cute character merchandise at a stationery store.
