On January 28, images circulating on Weibo revealed that the statue designed by DJ Koo had been installed at the Jinbaoshan Stone Forest Memorial Park. The monument is located near the grave of late actor Godfrey Gao. According to reports by Sohu, while the complex has not yet been fully completed, most of the construction is finished, with some workers still carrying out final adjustments and renovations.

The statue is currently covered with black plastic, though parts of the surrounding decorative elements are visible. In front of the monument stands a series of nine white steps arranged in an S-shaped curve. Five stone slabs flank the pathway, three on one side and two on the other. Behind the statue are nine white cement walls, also curved in an S shape, accompanied by stainless steel curved benches.
The memorial site is scheduled to be officially unveiled on February 2, marking the anniversary of Barbie Hsu’s passing. Previously, Barbie Hsu’s mother revealed that DJ Koo visited the site daily to check on construction progress. She shared that every design draft reflected the deep affection her son-in-law held for his wife. Paparazzi have also captured DJ Koo repeatedly visiting the gravesite in harsh weather, scenes that moved many members of the public.

On February 3 last year, local media cited her younger sister Dee Hsu in reporting that Barbie Hsu had passed away on February 2 due to influenza-related pneumonia while traveling in Japan during the Lunar New Year holiday. Following her death, DJ Koo expressed his grief, writing, “I am living through indescribable pain and sorrow. My heart feels like it’s being torn apart. I have no strength to speak nor do I want to.”
