Disturbing facts about GWSN’s heinous treatment under their agency were revealed

On March 12th, Han Jung Su, former creative director of GWSN (Girls In The Park) posted on his personal Instagram an exposé detailing the unfair treatment of a company he once worked for. He expressed his concern about the company’s situation when he first joined as the business head a few years before.

The public believed he was referring to The Wave Music, previously known as Kiwi Media Group before changing its name in 2020. In Han Jung Su’s words, several members of the management board placed him as the business head and used him as a scapegoat when the company was on the brink of collapse.

After failing to find an investor to release music for GWSN, Han Jung Su continued working without payment for one year. New owners refused to invest in a company that was on the verge of bankruptcy, while GWSN could not terminate their contract.

In the end, Han Jung Su had to cancel his personal deposits to help a staff in a financial difficulty and was “pushed into a corner” with all the debts from previous business expenses that the new owners had not taken care of. As more obstacles piled up, Han Jung Su decided to meet with the staff, artists and their parents to apologize for not being able to work with them anymore.

GWSN was reportedly evicted from their dorm in February last year after the company failed to pay rent. The company continued to remove their dance practice studio in July of the same year. They also neglected the immigration statuses of foreign members in the group, leading to two members being fined and even received criminal records for overstaying their visas.

Earlier this year, the members sued their company and won the first hearing when The Wave Music was absent from the trial.

GWSN, who made their official debut in 2018, is a multinational 7-member girl group. Under the management of The Wave Music, the group’s activities were basically neglected after their last album promotion in June 2021. The members are said to be able to terminate their exclusive contracts if the company does not appeal against the decree.
