Cha Hak Yeon to co-star with Park Eun Bin, confirms appearance in “Diva of the Deserted Island”

On March 14th, Cha Hak Yeon’s agency 51K announced, “Cha Hak Yeon was cast in the drama ‘Diva of the Deserted Island’. He will prepare hard to greet you with a new look, so please look forward to it.“

“Diva of the Deserted Island” (written by Park Hye Ryun/Eun Yeol, directed by Oh Choong Hwan, produced by Baram Pictures/Kakao Entertainment) centers around “Seo Mok Ha”, who is rescued on a deserted island after going missing 15 years ago.

It is the third work in which director Oh Choong Hwan and writer Park Hye Ryun work together after “While You Were Sleeping” and “Start-Up”. With Park Eun Bin, Kim Hyo Jin and Chae Jong Hyeop joining, “Diva of the Deserted Island” is already drawing attention from K-drama fans around the world.

Cha Hak Yeon will play the male lead “Kang Woo Hak”, a reporter who has a unique bright energy and pleasant personality. After accidentally rescuing Mok Ha (Park Eun Bin) with his younger brother Bo Geol (Chae Jong Hyeop), he sincerely sympathizes with Mok Ha’s story and helps her both physically and mentally.

Cha Hak Yeon impressed viewers with his extraordinary character digestive power across genres through various works such as “Tunnel”, “Familiar Wife”, “Children of Nobody”, “Mine” and “Bad and Crazy”. In particular, he won “Best Actor in Drama Special/TV Cinema” at the 2022 KBS Drama Awards thanks to KBS’ “Drama Special – Stain” and became an actor who received interest and expectations from the broadcasting industry.

Cha Hak Yeon will play Yoo Ji Sun, who is a judge of Hanseongbu and the third generation of readers from the most prestigious family in Joseon, in MBC’s “Joseon Attorney”, which is set to premiere on March 31st. He is continuing his non-stop moves by confirming his appearance in the next work “Diva of the Deserted Island”.
