Former Single’s Inferno 2 stars Dex and Shin Seul Ki, who once captured viewers’ attention with their undeniable chemistry on the Netflix dating show, are making headlines again this time for their dramatically contrasting recent appearances.
While Dex impressed fans with his noticeably bulked-up physique and muscular arms, Shin Seul Ki showcased a delicate, slender figure, highlighting just how differently their post-show journeys have unfolded.
On July 14, Dex shared a series of photos on social media without adding any caption.
In the pictures, he posed in front of a mirror wearing a fitted white T-shirt, jeans, a black cap, and glasses, opting for a casual everyday look.
What immediately caught fans’ attention was his impressive physique. With one arm raised above his head, his well-defined biceps and forearm muscles stood out prominently beneath the fitted shirt. His broader shoulders and upper body, along with the tattoo covering his opposite arm, further emphasized his tougher and more mature image.
Last month, on June 18, Dex announced that he would temporarily suspend uploads on his YouTube channel Dex101, which has over 1.16 million subscribers. He explained that he wanted to focus on his acting career and upcoming projects.
Meanwhile, Shin Seul Ki, who first met Dex on Single’s Inferno 2, recently shared snapshots from her trip to Japan.
In the photos, she smiled brightly against a backdrop of trees and sunlight while wearing a white ruffled top, pink bottoms, and a black shoulder bag.
Her slim arms and petite frame immediately stood out. While Dex left a powerful impression with his muscular build, Shin Seul Ki showcased an elegant, delicate silhouette, creating a striking visual contrast between the two.
Dex and Shin Seul Ki first met on Netflix’s Single’s Inferno 2, which premiered in 2022.
During the show, Dex openly expressed his interest in Shin Seul Ki, and the pair became one of the season’s most talked-about couples after sharing memorable moments, including their popular swimming pool date. Although they ultimately did not choose each other in the finale, their relationship remains one of the most memorable storylines from the series.
Since then, both have pursued successful careers in different directions.
A former member of South Korea’s UDT special forces, Dex has expanded his career from variety shows including MBC’s Adventure by Accident series into acting. He is currently focusing on preparing for new acting projects.
Shin Seul Ki, who majored in piano at Seoul National University, has transitioned into acting. She has steadily built her résumé through roles in dramas such as For Eagle Brothers, The Haunted Palace, and Would You Marry Me?
Last year, Shin Seul Ki also earned recognition at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards, winning Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries Romantic Comedy Drama for her performance in Would You Marry Me?
