“D.P. 2” unveils character posters showing Jung Hae In, Koo Kyo Hwan & Son Seok Gu with intense eyes

Netflix’s “D.P.” will return with more impactful characters and stories in Season 2.

On July 5th, Netflix released posters for the six main characters of “D.P. 2”. The drama will continue the story of Joon Ho and Ho Yeol, members of the Deserter Pursuit (D.P.) unit, facing the unchanged reality and absurdity in the military.

The new posters released this time hint at expanded stories featuring not only members of Military Police Investigation Unit’s Division 103 who led Season 1 but also new characters from the Military Headquarters. Fans are looking forward to the return of old members, including D.P. team member Ahn Joon Ho who becomes a Private, D.P. team leader Han Ho Yeol who is about to be discharged, Sergeant Park Beom Goo who was disciplined after the case of Private Cho Seok Bong aiming a gun at himself, and Captain Im Ji Seop who was ordered to transfer to another unit. Questions about the in-depth stories “D.P.” will tell in the new season are also increasing.

In particular, Season 1 cast expressed their feelings on this comeback. First, Jung Hae In, who showed Ahn Joon Ho’s complicated emotion mixed with guilt and frustration through his tiring eyes in the poster, shared, “I kept recalling the events that happened in Season 1 during the filming”.

Koo Kyo Hwan said, “Ho Yeol will continue to act like he usually does. However, as the situation change, Ho Yeol will gradually show a new appearance according to it”, raising fans’ curiosity about Ho Yeol’s attitudes when facing new incidents.

Kim Sung Kyun, who plays Park Beom Goo, confessed, “I portrayed the image of an officer who had a conflict with the organization. This part will be dealt with more deeply in the new season”. Taking the role of Captain Im Ji Seop, Son Seok Gu said, “There would be a big change in Season 2. I would show the faces that viewers haven’t seen before”, hinting at a new image transformation.

Apart from Division 103 members, people from the Military Headquarters will intervene in the incidents and widen the scope of the story. Ji Jin Hee, who will appear as head of the Military Headquarters Justice Department Goo Ja Woon, said, “This character is a new acting challenge to me. It’s different from other roles I’ve played before”.

In addition, Kim Ji Hyun, who will portray Lieutenant Colonel Seo Eun, a law officer at the Military Headquarters, explained, “She’s in charge of Kim Roo Ri case. She wants to frame the situation in a way that benefits the military and solves the case in her own direction.”

Expectations are high for the numerous new challenges that Joon Ho and Ho Yeol, who strive to bring about changes in the military, will face as well as dynamic action scenes.

Meanwhile, “D.P. 2” will premiere on Netflix on July 28th.
