Former B.A.P member Himchan (real name Kim Himchan) completed agreements with the two female victims.
On the morning of July 5th, Himchan’s third trial on charges of forced harassment was held by the Seoul Western District Court’s Criminal Division 6.
Himchan is accused of forcibly molesting two women on the stairs outside a pub in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul in April last year.
Previously, Himchan’s lawyer said, “We paid 10 million won and reached an agreement with one of the victims. We’re also in the process of reaching an agreement with the foreign victim.“
On this day, the court confirmed whether Himchan reached an agreement with the foreign female victim. Himchan’s side submitted the agreement, saying, “We paid 10 million won and reached an agreement with the foreign victim.”
Himchan’s side also hoped to merge a separate case. The lawyer said, “The investigation schedule is set around July 11th. We expect that the prosecution will indict immediately after the investigation is completed. We hope to merge and proceed with the case.”
In response, the court asked about the charges, saying it was difficult to be certain about the possibility of merging.
Himchan, who was previously sentenced to 10 months in prison for sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s at a pension in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do in 2018, attended the second trial in a prison uniform on May 17th.
Himchan was sentenced to prison by the appeal court for sexually harassing a woman in her 20s who accompanied him at a pension in Joan-myeon, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do on July 24th, 2018.
Meanwhile, Himchan’s subsequent trial date is scheduled to take place on August 7th.
