Current status of the female contestant who appeared on “Star King” as “Baby Wonder Girls”
Girl group Billlie won “Potential Awards – Music” at the “2022 Asia Artist Awards IN JAPAN” (2022 AAA) and “Female Idol (Rising Star)” at the “2023 Korea First Brand Awards”.
On Feb 10th, they also received “Emerging Artist Award” at the “2022 Hanteo Music Awards”, which is given to artists who have proven their potential by showing active performances in various fields.
Billlie, the first girl group of Mystic Story (headed by Yoon Jong Shin), is a global idol group produced through MYSTIC Incubation Camp, Mystic’s unique artist incubation system.
Billlie put their heart and soul into album production for good music that can warmly touch many people’s hearts like the team name Billlie, which reflects their “B-sides, the inner-self that everyone has inside them”.
In particular, Siyoon, who serves as the main rapper, showed her potential by directly participating in rap making from the debut album. She also revealed her unusual past work experience at the debut album showcase.
Siyoon (born in 2005) revealed that she appeared on SBS’ “Star King” in 2008 as “Baby Wonder Girls”. She added that she wants to appear on “Knowing Bros” of Kang Ho Dong, who was Star King’s MC.
Siyoon expressed her strong ambition, “When I was young, I appeared on Star King hosted by senior Kang Ho Dong. I was ‘Baby Wonder Girls’ Siyoon at that time, so now I want to stand in front of senior Kang Ho Dong as ‘Billlie’ Siyoon.”
In addition, Siyoon showed off her dancing skills when appearing on the opening stage of the 2010 SBS Gayo Daejeon as mini Son Dam Bi. In 2012, she applied for SBS’ “K-pop Star 2” and advanced to the first round.
Siyoon, who joined Mystic in 2019, later worked as a backup dancer for Lim Kim (Kim Ye Rim), appeared in boy group Boyfriend’s music video then made her debut with Billlie in 2021.
Meanwhile, Billlie is breaking their own record in various indicators for each album based on their solid album planning ability and high-quality music. They will make a comeback with their 4th mini album in March.
