They explained, “After having a meeting with his acquaintances in Gangnam at around 3:30 AM on March 8th, Nam Tae Hyun tried to move his car about 5m to re-park it because it was blocking his acquaintances’ cars, then waited for the designated driver. During this process, while Nam Tae Hyun was opening the door of his parked car, an accident occurred when Nam Tae Hyun’s car collided with the side mirror of a taxi passing by.”

They continued, “Nam Tae Hyun promised the taxi driver sufficient compensation for the damage immediately after the collision. Contrary to some media reports, Nam Tae Hyun did not drive tens of meters after the collision with the taxi, but moved about 5m forward to re-park. Even though he was drunk, there is no excuse for making a momentary rash judgment.”

They added, “Nam Tae Hyun is deeply reflecting on his mistakes. He will faithfully participate in the police investigation and receive punishment for his wrongdoing. We deeply apologize to everyone.”
