“OMG” had previously entered the same chart on January 16th  and went straight to the first position. After staying in the top spot for two months and dropping a little, they once again reclaimed the top spot on the latest chart, consistently maintaining immense popularity.

The Oricon weekly combined singles chart is ranked based on a combination of CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming points. According to Oricon, NewJeans topped the combined singles chart with the group’s streaming points.

Despite not yet officially promoting in Japan, NewJeans, who topped the Oricon chart with a Korean album, is garnering high expectations for their future activities.

On the other hand, NewJeans is a girl group formed under ADOR, a subsidiary of HYBE Labels founded by Min Hee Jin, a former visual director of SM Entertainment. Starting from their debut album, each song released by NewJeans has taken first place on major music sites, creating a sensation.
