Coldplay Sings BTS Collaboration “My Universe” At UK Festival, “We’re Sending So Much Love”
Rock band Coldplay delivered their greetings to BTS members, who are serving in the military. while performing “My Universe”
On June 30th, Coldplay reportedly performed the song “My Universe”, which was released in 2021, on the main stage of the Glastonbury Festival in the UK on June 29th (local time).
Featuring a refreshing melody and comforting Korean lyrics, the song was a global hit as it topped the US Billboard Main Single Chart ‘HOT 100’ as soon as its release.
Before singing “My Universe”, Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin did not hesitate to show his affection for BTS, saying “They are in the army right now, so we gonna sing all the way to Korea! Let’s sing together”. He then shouted, “Our brothers in BTS, we’re sending so much love”. In particular, Chris Martin even sang some Korean lyrics of “My Universe”.
Coldplay and BTS have maintained a strong friendship ever since they released “My Universe” together.
In 2022, Coldplay participated in writing, composing, and arranging BTS Jin’s first solo single “The Astronaut” before he enlisted. Chris Martin made a surprise appearance in the song’s music video. Jin also joined Coldplay concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and performed “The Astronaut”.
