Singer CL (real name Lee Chae-rin) expressed her feelings about performing with 2NE1 members as a whole group at Coachella.
On the morning of April 18th (KST), CL posted several photos on her Instagram along with a long article that begins with “The reason why I really wanted to invite the members to Coachella after receiving my invitation was I wanted to gather them with my own strength and power before it’s too late”.
She continued, “Through this stage, we want to deliver our greetings to everyone who has stayed with us and say thank you to those who have loved and spent their times with 2NE1 for the past 12 years. In that sense, today was such an important and meaningful day for me more than anyone else”.
She continued, “Through today’s moment, I hope that the feelings that I felt through us in the past will be revived. Thank you once again to our members who made today’s stage shine and to everyone who worked on this stage together. I’ll continue to run for the day when we can perform for a whole hour next time.”
Earlier, on April 16th local time, CL took the stage at the 2022 Coachella Festival held in Indio, California, USA, and performed ‘I Am The Best’ with 2NE1 members Park Bom, Sandara Park, and Minzy. Their surprise reunion performance as four became a trending topic because it was their first stage together in 6 years after they disbanded. Leader CL was also revealed to plan this stage and make sure it happened, making fans feel even more touched.
Meanwhile, CL, who was born in 1991, debuted as a member of 2NE1 in 2009, and released her first full-length album ‘ALPHA‘ in October of last year.
