Choi Woo Sik and Kim Da Mi show off heart-fluttering chemistry on the cover of Cosmopolitan

Choi Woo Sik and Kim Da Mi recently had a pictorial shoot together and shared more about their upcoming K-drama “Us That Year”. 

The killer duo in the action thriller “The Witch” – Choi Woo Sik and Kim Da Mi has recently attracted much attention for their sizzling chemistry through the appearance on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine for its November 2021 issue. The two will have a reunion that many fans are looking forward to in the SBS’s upcoming romantic comedy drama titled “Us That Year”.  Although the drama is still in the process of filming and production, the news about this couple still constantly garners the public’s attention. Recently, to kick off the promotions for the upcoming drama, Choi Woo Sik and Kim Da Mi had a joint appearance on the November 2021 issue of Cosmopolitan. 

Unlike the previous collaboration where they played rivals, the upcoming production starring the two talented actors is the rom-com genre, so the relationship of the two leads played by Choi Woo Sik and Kim Da Mi will be the main storyline. If you have seen how they brutally go up against each other in “The Witch”, can you imagine what it would be like when they become on-screen romantic partners?

Choi Woo Sik and Kim Da Mi have received a lot of support for their upcoming reunion in a completely different genre from the first collaboration. However, when they were confirmed to co-star as leads for “Us That Year”, there were still some viewers who cast doubt on the chemistry between the two as a couple. But the sweet interactions of Choi Woo Sik and Kim Da Mi displayed through recent Cosmopolitan pictorial has proved that their chemistry in the new romance drama is worth the anticipation.

Choi Woo Sik‘s honey-like glances when looking at his female co-star and the two’s natural gestures have somewhat confirmed that they can deliver sweet and romantic scenes in “Us That Year”. In the interview with Cosmopolitan, the two also opened up about their new collaboration after 3 years.

Kim Da Mi said, “We’ve worked together before, so in this reunion we trust and rely on each other a lot. We both find the script interesting and really want to try it, so we decided to join the cast.”

Choi Woo Sik also shared the reason why he chose to star in this drama, “I’ve always wanted to try the romantic comedy genre because I think my appearance suits rom-coms. I’m also thrilled to have the opportunity to act alongside Kim Da Mi again.”

Us That Year is a comedy-romantic drama about the love story of a couple who have been together since college but end up going separate ways because of unresolvable conflicts. Choi Woo Sik plays Choi Woong, a freelance illustrator who lives in his own world and has no big dreams. However, his ex-girlfriend Guk Yeon Soo is the only exception that makes Choi Woong want to reveal all his secret feelings.

Kim Da Mi plays Guk Yeon Soo, a realistic public relations expert.  As a good student since she was in school, Yeon Soo has always competed to be at the top. Becoming number one is her ultimate goal in life. The breakup of her relationship in college with Choi Woong causes Yeon Soo to disregard her true feelings, trying to hide her hurtful side by rushing to succeed.

The two think they would never meet again but 10 years later after their breakup, fate once again pulls them together when their high school documentary is discovered. To achieve their work goals, Yeon Soo and Choi Woong have to pretend to be a couple, but it is this reunion that makes their past feelings come to life once again and forces both of them to make up their minds. Will sparks fly between Yeon Soo and Choi Woong again and allow them to get back together?

“Us That Year” is scheduled to air at the end of 2021 on SBS but the specific time slot is not yet announced.
