Austin Kang’s first dish on the island was a snack for the workers. For this, he pulled out the secret weapon that he calls “his life,” which was none other than “5-year-aged kimchi.” It turns out Austin Kang makes 5,000 heads of kimchi every year. It’s rumored that he insists on adding beef bone broth as a special secret to his kimchi.

Meanwhile, Kim Nam-il attempted vegetable prep for the first time that day. His hidden chopping skills amazed everyone. Ahn Jung-hwan shared insights into Kim Nam-il’s daily life, “Nam-il claims he doesn’t do household chores, but whenever I call, I can hear pots boiling or the washing machine stopping.”

Austin Kang’s real talent shone when he prepared a feast for the guests. Kwon Eun-bi, in particular, was moved, expressing her delight with a blissful expression after tasting his food. Park Joon-hyung, unable to resist his hunger, also hurriedly scooped up the remaining food with his hands.

Moreover, Kim Dae-ho, president of the Meoguri Association, attempted cooking for the first time that day as well. Introducing himself confidently as “the eldest son of a duck bulgogi restaurant,” Kim Dae-ho proudly shared his secret sauce recipe. Even Chef Austin Kang couldn’t help but praise it, “It’s truly delicious.”
