Chart summary: Thor, IVE, Mr. Trot, Woo Young-woon are in 1st place 

Let’s take a look at all the first places in Korean charts for the past week.

 Movie = “Thor: Love and Thunder” No. 1 (The Korean Film Council’s chart for movie tickets July 8-10)

The movie “Thor: Love and Thunder” topped the box office on its first weekend. The movie was released on July 6th and attracted a total of 1,184,510 people over three days from the 8th to the 10th. The cumulative number of audiences is 1,764,934. “Thor: Love and Thunder” is Marvel’s blockbuster that tells the story of Thor teaming up with Mighty Thor, aka his ex-girlfriend Jane, Queen Valkyrie, Korg, and to confront the threat of the new God Butcher Gor. The movie that followed “Thor: Love and Thunder” was “Top Gun: Maverick, “ranking 2nd with 804,310 audiences. “Decided to Leave” was ranked third, bringing 204,484 people to the theater. “Crime City 2,” which was released in May and attracts more than 12.58 million viewers, mobilized 84,818 people and “The Witch 2” attracted 55,857 people, respectively, being at fourth and fifth places.

Music = IVE’s “Love Dive” #1 (Melon Weekly Chart July 4-10)

The top of the weekly chart in the second week of July was still IVE‘s “Love Dive.” The song climbed back to the top of the weekly chart two weeks ago and has topped the list for three consecutive weeks so far. The second and third places were also ranked the same as the previous week. (G)I-DLE’s “Tomboy” ranked second, and Psy’s “That That” ranked third. Nayeon‘s song “Pop!” ranked fourth, climbing 13 steps from the previous week. Nayeon is the first member of TWICE to debut as a solo artist and is enjoying good results. Big Naughty’s “Beyond Love” was ranked in fifth place.

Main stations’ TV shows= KBS 2TV weekend drama “It’s Beautiful Now” ranked first (Nielsen Korea July 4-10 nationwide)

KBS 2TV’s weekend drama “It’s Beautiful Now” remained at the top of the list with 22.8% in the last week’s ratings. It is a 1.0% increase from the drama’s ratings in the previous week, and it maintains the 20% range and protects its top position. KBS 1TV’s daily drama “Bravo, My Life” remained in second place with 17.7%, while SBS’ variety program “My Little Old Boy” remained in third place with 15.5%. KBS 2TV’s daily drama “Gold Mask” ranked fourth with 14.8%, while KBS 1TV’s “News 9” ranked fifth with 11.2%, respectively.

General + Cable show= TV Chosun’s “Birth of Mr. Trot Heroes” #1 (based on paid households nationwide from July 4 to 10 in Nielsen Korea)

In the weekly tally of general show and cable ratings, TV CHOSUN’s variety program “We Got Divorced 2” ended, and “Mr. Trot-The Birth of Heroes” topped the list with 6.5%. TV Chosun’s “Call of the Country” ranked second with 6.4%, while tvN’s drama “Alchemy of Souls” ranked third with 6.1%, making it the only top five drama. TV Chosun’s “I Like Tuesday Nights” ranked fourth with 5.8%, and JTBC’s “We Kick Together 2” ranked fifth with 5.3%.

OTT= drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” (as of Netflix July 10):

The ENA drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” which aired for the first time on Netflix on the 29th of last month, ranked first in Korea’s top 10 series. “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is a drama about the survival of a rookie lawyer Woo Young-woo with a despotic brain and autism spectrum in a big law firm. Second place was “Alchemy of Souls,” and third place was Netflix’s “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part 1,” respectively. KBS 2TV drama “Café Minamdang” ranked fourth, and tvN drama “Our Blues” ranked fifth, respectively.
