Cha Ye Ryeon comforted Lee Seung Gi, who is in dispute with his agency, after “KBS Drama Awards”
The behind-the-scenes footage of singer-actor Lee Seung Gi’s attendance at the “2022 KBS Drama Awards” was released.
KBS2’s “Entertainment company Live”, which aired on Jan 5th, showed Lee Seung Gi attending the “2022 KBS Drama Awards” on Dec 31st last year.
Lee Seung Gi, who appeared with a shaved head that day, won “Best Couple Award” with actress Lee Se Young, who worked together with him in KBS2’s “The Law Cafe”, and “Grand Award (Daesang)” with actor Joo Sang Wook.
Lee Seung Gi delivered his acceptance speech, “Many people speculated that it was because of personal reasons or a change in personal state of mind, but it’s not at all. I play the role of the chief monk in the movie ‘Big Family’ that I’m currently filming. I hope you don’t misunderstand.“
After the awards ceremony, “Entertainment company Live” captured couple Joo Sang Wook – Cha Ye Ryeon and Lee Seung Gi talking to each other.
Joo Sang Wook encouraged Lee Seung Gi, who is in a legal dispute with his former agency, “I hope it’ll be resolved well.” Cha Ye Ryeon left a meaningful message of support, “You’ve suffered a lot. Cheer up. I’m rooting for you. Really. You have to win.“
The couple then mentioned Lee Seung Gi’s hairstyle, “‘Half buzz cut’ looks good on you. If you didn’t talk about it, we’d think there was a really big story.“
Then Lee Seung Gi said pleasantly, “I saw the actors earlier, but they said nothing. I thought this wasn’t right. That’s why I talked about (the reason for shaving my head in my acceptance speech) at that time.“
Lee Seung Gi, who later met the production team of ‘Entertainment company Live’, expressed his feelings, “Thank you. I’ll work hard. I’ll walk well on the path of an actor.“
He greeted fans, “Thank you so much. I think I received the grand prize because you loved the role of Kim Jeong Ho in ‘The Law Cafe’.“
Lee Seung Gi added, “I’m very sorry for the inconvenience caused by my personal affairs. I’m grateful that many people have supported me.“
Meanwhile, Lee Seung Gi sued CEO Kwon Jin Young, former and current directors for embezzlement and fraud.
While continuing his tough fight with Hook Entertainment, Lee Seung Gi received a big round of applause for donating 2 billion won, which is part of the settlement money he received from Hook Entertainment, to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital.
