On April 16, actress Cha Joo Young took to social media to share a candid update, posting a short clip along with a heartfelt message.
“I briefly took off my mask… the outside air still feels unfamiliar. This surgery taught me many truly important things. Thanks to everyone who worried about me, I’m slowly regaining strength… it feels like lost time, but spring is here,” she wrote.
In the video, Cha Joo Young appears inside a car, dressed casually with a cap pulled low. Despite the simple styling, her distinct features remain striking. Her expressions shift between relaxed and playful, reflecting a sense of ease as she gradually returns to normal life.
Her absence began earlier this year when she underwent surgery due to recurring nosebleeds, medically known as Epistaxis. At the time, her agency explained that she had been receiving treatment for a prolonged period, but the condition worsened to the point where surgery could no longer be delayed. As a result, she suspended all activities to focus on recovery and monitoring her condition.

Now, three months later, her latest update suggests a steady improvement, with fans expressing relief and support for her return.
Before her hiatus, Cha Joo Young remained active across both television and film, appearing in projects such as the TVING drama “The Queen Who Crowns”, the film “LOBBY”, as well as more recent works including “Sister” and the Genie TV drama “Climax”.
While no official announcement has been made regarding her full return to activities, this update marks a significant step forward both for the actress and for fans who have been waiting to see her healthy again.
