ASTRO, to which Cha Eun Woo belongs, reported the news of a member’s departure.
On February 28th, ASTRO’s agency, Fantagio, posted a notice titled “Guide to ASTRO’s future activities” on the group’s official fancafe.
The agency said, “After having a deep conversation with Rocky, who has been with ASTRO as a member for the past 7 years, we have concluded his exclusive contract and activities as a group member.”
“We would like to express our gratitude to Rocky for doing his best as an ASTRO member for a long time, and we will sincerely support him in the future. We also thank many fans for cheering and watching, and ask for constant interest and support for Rocky, who is starting anew,” the agency continued.
Lastly, Fantagio added, “In the future, ASTRO will be maintained as a five-member group. The members and Fantagio will focus on their unit and individual activities for the time being. We will give full support so that they can be active in various fields.”
On the same day, Rocky also said in a handwritten letter, “It’s been a while since I’ve greeted you, but it’s not good news. I’m sorry. I’m leaving Fantagio, where I’ve been with for 14 years, and finishing my activities as ASTRO. I won’t forget and treasure the memories I made with the members and fans wherever I go.”
Meanwhile, ASTRO debuted in 2016. In particular, in December of last year, except for MJ, who was serving in the military, 4 members Cha Eun Woo, Jinjin, Moonbin, and Yoon Sangha reassured fans by announcing the renewal of their contracts with Fantagio.
