Cha Eun-woo to enter Hollywood with “K-Pop: Lost In America”

According to the film industry on July 1st, Cha Eun-woo recently received an offer to appear in “K-Pop: Lost In America” (directed by Yoon Je-kyun/co-produced by CJ Group’s Vice Chairman Lee Mi-kyung and Hollywood producer Lynda Obst) and is discussing it positively. Left with no phones, no money and no transportation, the group must overcome their differences and a host of crazy obstacles to make it to New York. “K-Pop: Lost In America” drew attention from the planning as it is co-produced by CJ Group’s Vice Chairman Lee Mi-kyung and Hollywood producer Lynda Obst of “Interstellar”, “Sleepless in Seattle” as well as directed by director Yoon Je-kyun of “Tidal Wave”, “Ode to My Father”.

The production team has been preparing for casting actors to play K-pop roles in the movie in various ways, including auditions. After many discussions and processes, Cha Eun-woo, a K-pop idol who has acting skills, was chosen as the main character. Cha Eun-woo, who appeared in the drama “True Beauty” and the movie “My Brilliant Life”, will enter the U.S. market as not only a K-pop idol but also an actor.

Charles Melton starred in the TV series “Riverdale” and the movie “The Sun Is Also a Star”.
