BTS Suga (Min Yoongi) became the first owner of Samsung Electronics’ ‘Galaxy Z Fold 5,’ which was released recently.
On July 28th, Samsung Electronics unveiled a photo of BTS Suga with No Tae Moon, the head of the Mobile Experience (MX) division, on their official social media account.
Suga is well-known to be a longtime Galaxy user. He is so fond of Galaxy smartphones that he requests fans to take selfies with Galaxy phones instead of iPhones at concerts.
It seems Samsung Electronics wanted to show their gratitude to Suga. On July 26th, Samsung Electronics invited Suga to their product launch event called ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ and gave him the first ‘Galaxy Z Fold 5.’ The day before the event, Samsung Electronics sent Suga an honorary employee certificate from the Galaxy marketing team.
In a letter to Suga, Samsung Electronics wrote, “Mr. Yoongi, welcome to Galaxy Unpacked 2023. It is an honor to have you, who we are even more grateful for, at this precious and important moment for us.”
Meanwhile, BTS fans seem to know well about Suga’s love for Galaxy, and some of them intentionally buy Galaxy smartphones too.
During BTS’s concert at the Oakland Arena in California, USA, on May 17th, a surprising incident occurred. While doing fan service, Suga was startled when a fan requested a selfie and handed him an antique Galaxy phone, which is hard to find even in Korea.
The foreign fan wrote ‘Antique Galaxy’ on the phone and mentioned that they prepared the Galaxy for Suga. Seeing this, Suga burst into laughter and happily took selfies with the phone the fan gave him.
