BTS’s Jungkook Reveals Goals For Solo Career And Shows Affection For Fans, “ARMY Is My Light”

BTS member Jungkook talked about his ambition as a solo singer

BTS’s Jungkook recently had an interview with the US radio program “103.5 KISSFM” about his solo hit song “Seven”. He said, “First of all, I have always wanted to sing a cool love song like that. And the season was also perfect, too. I really wanted to share good music that can be enjoyed by many people”

Regarding his personal goals as a solo artist, Jungkook said, “Actually it might sound like a paradox”, adding “Because I do understand that it’s important to exude my own distinct colors, but I also want to be able to have various different colors as an artist.”

He continued, “Various genres, styles, lyrics, voices… I really want to explore all of them. I want to know how far I can go and test my limit”, raising expectations for the challenges that Jungkook will take and the music world he will show in the future.

When asked, “What do you picture when you think of ARMY (BTS’s fandom)?”, Jungkook confessed, “If I were to simply say in terms of images, I would say a ray of light. But it’s more of a feeling rather than an image.”

He added, “I would say it’s definitely love, it’s much bigger than that. This one time when I was going through some hard times, I was able to get back on my own feet because I had ARMY by my side”, expressing his extraordinary love for fans.

Meanwhile, Jungkook was nominated for Best Song with his first solo single song “Seven” at the MTV EMA 2023, the largest music awards ceremony in Europe, which will be held in Paris, France this November. Also nominated for Best K-pop and Biggest Fans, Jungkook became the K-pop solo singer with the most nominations.
