BTS member V has been confirmed to appear on the music show ‘NPOP’ with 4 of his solo songs, including the title track.
NPOP is a monthly K-POP chart show launched by Naver and Playlist. BTS V’s performances on ‘NPOP’ will feature distinct stage setups for each song to enhance the quality of the performances.
On September 8th at 1 PM KST, V’s first solo album ‘Layover’ will be simultaneously released worldwide, containing a total of 6 songs: ‘Rainy Days,’ ‘Blue,’ ‘Love Me Again,’ ‘Slow Dancing,’ ‘For Us,’ and a bonus track ‘Slow Dancing (Piano ver.).’ ‘Rainy Days’ and ‘Love Me Again,’ which were pre-released on August 11th, have already topped iTunes ‘Top Song’ charts in various countries.
The alternative POP R&B genre of ‘Rainy Days’ blends various white noises from daily life with V’s warm vocals to elevate the song’s emotion. ‘Blue’ pays homage to old-school R&B while incorporating a modern sound, adding uniqueness to the track. ‘Love Me Again,’ is rooted in the R&B genre with a focus on 1970s soul sound, highlighting V’s pure and soulful voice.
The album’s title track, ‘Slow Dancing,’ captures a free-spirited and languid mood with a romantic soul style reminiscent of the 70s.
V’s ‘NPOP’ performances will be revealed on September 9th and September 13th.
