BTS Suga became new ambassador for NBA 

Suga, a member of world-famous boy group BTS, has been named as a new ambassador for the basketball league NBA. 

On April 6th, the official website of NBA (National Basketball Association) revealed that BTS Suga has been named an NBA Ambassador. They also updated a video with the male idol on their official SNS, where Suga expressed his thoughts over his new title. 

In the published video, Suga appeared in a beige outfit and said, “Music and basketball have been shared passions of mine since my youth, and it’s a dream to be named an NBA Ambassador. I’m excited to formalize my relationship with the NBA, and I can’t wait to share some exciting collaborations I have planned with the league over the coming months”.

Meanwhile, the NBA’s Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer Mark Tatum said, “We’re thrilled to join forces with SUGA – a superstar musician, fashion icon, and passionate NBA fan”, adding, “We look forward to working with SUGA to bring the same excitement he engenders from his global fanbase in support of our continued efforts to grow our brand.”

As an NBA Ambassador, SUGA will engage fans around the world through the 2022-23 NBA season and beyond. He will also participate in several NBA initiatives and be featured in related contents and promotional activities. 

Last year, Suga attended The NBA Japan Games 2022, where he sat courtside and posted behind-the-scenes content where he had meet-and-greets with NBA players and legends. The BTS member most recently appeared at an NBA game on January 12th.
