The video shows Jungkook visiting Los Angeles in April to record “Seven”. Arriving in LA and getting in the car, Jungkook expressed his excitement about the upcoming meeting with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt, “Somehow, we got to work with him. It’s my first time recording abroad with a producer who’s not Korean”.

Introducing the “straw vocal exercise” before the recording of “Seven”, he said, “I recently started this. I searched for information about vocal methods. I lost my voice once so I was like, ‘What should I do?’, and I found this straw vocal exercise. They said that this helps with balancing the vocal cords, so I’ve been doing it.”

Describing the recording of “Seven”, Jungkook explained, “I was curious as to what the results would be like if I did this. And I’m here to record as the vocalist of BTS, I was worried, what if the producer is disappointed? Everything has been pretty confusing. I couldn’t even remember if I sang it well or how and when I sang it. I also had to pronounce the lyrics correctly”.

He added, “He was very positive about my work and he liked it a lot so I was super nervous at the beginning. But I became relaxed as I was recording. If I get a chance in the future, I’d like to have more experiences like this”, adding “I hope that the song sounds natural”.

In addition, the BTS member shared, “When I heard it right after the recording, it sounded really good. I felt more confident that I finished such a hard song. I thought that if I worked harder, there could be a version of me who can sing all types of songs. This gave me that confidence. It was a great experience, and it motivated me a lot as well. Doing this naturally got me setting my next goal. My future changed because of this”.

At the end of the video, Jungkook said, “I’m Korean, but I’d like to be the one and only singer who can cross back and forth between K-POP and pop songs. I’m gonna conquer all genres if I could. Perhaps I could do Latin music later, and opera or musicals. I’m gonna get cooler. I will follow my own compass”, confessing his ambition.

According to the latest chart released by Billboard on July 25th, Jungkook’s first solo single “Seven (Feat. Latto)” still dominated No.1 on the Main Single Chart ‘TOP 100’. It topped the Global 200 and Global (excluding the US) charts, ranked No.2 in Digital Song Sales and No.4 in the Streaming Song chart.
