BTS Jin’s brother responds to suspicion of getting Bruno Mars’s concert invitation ticket, “I didn’t receive it through special methods”
BTS Jin’s brother directly explained the allegation of receiving special treatment regarding Bruno Mars’s concert.
On June 19th, BTS Jin’s brother Kim Seok Joong posted a long article, saying “I apologize for causing controversy regarding the concert, which was supposed to be fun and enjoyable. After understanding the situation, I want to reveal my position to prevent any further secondary damage.”
Kim Seok Joong explained, “First, the ticket that many people have been curious about was not an invitation ticket reserved through a specific company or organization”, adding “Due to some reasons, I received transferable invitations issued by Hyundai Card from an acquaintance who couldn’t attend the concert. The claim that I obtained the ticket through an illegal purchase or with a special method is not true at all.”
He continued, “As stated on the invitation ticket, it was available for use by the membership holder or the individual who received the ticket through a transfer”, adding “However, I failed to anticipate the issues that could arise from this, and I sincerely apologize to those who have experienced secondary harm because of me.”
The ‘Hyundai Card Super Concert 27 Bruno Mars’ was held at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul for two days, June 17th and 18th. Apart from over 100,000 audiences, top stars, such as BTS RM & V, BLACKPINK Jennie & Rosé, G-Dragon, Song Hye Kyo, Han Ga In & Yeon Jung Hoon couple, Sunmi, Park Jin Young, etc., also attended the concert. However, after the concert, netizens raised controversy over special treatment as too many invitation tickets with views close to the stage were issued.
Amid the controversy, suspicions that family members of celebrities also received special treatment as BTS Jin’s brother Kim Seok Joong showed his invitation ticket. As a result, Kim Seok Joong personally explained the allegation himself.
