Jin, a member of BTS, shared his feelings in a recent interview.
On the morning of November 1st, Fashion magazine GQ released a video titled, “10 Things Jin of BTS Can’t Live Without” on their official YouTube channel.
The released video shows BTS Jin talking about things that are precious to him.
In particular, Jin said, “The coolest people to me are probably the members. I don’t think there is anyone as cool as our members.”
He also added, “My family is cool, but the members are a little cooler. To my family, I’m sorry.”
Jin released his solo single “The Astronaut” on October 28th through domestic and foreign music sites. It is a pop-rock genre track that harmonizes with the calm acoustic guitar sound and the gradually rising synth sound.
Jin did not stop at singing the song, but also participated in writing the lyrics. He was named as a co-lyricist with the British band Coldplay on the credits. At the same time, the male idol revealed his deep affection through lyrics that compare ARMYs (fandom of BTS) to his own universe and dreams, the Milky Way that illuminates the dark path, and the only light he finds in the dark.
The stage of this new song was first unveiled at the Coldplay World Tour concert held at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 28th (local time). Jin left through Incheon International Airport on October 24th to appear as a special guest in this performance, and returned home on October 31st.
At the same time, Jin also achieved remarkable results on the music charts. According to the latest global chart of the world’s largest music streaming platform Spotify, as of October 28th, “The Astronaut” was streamed 4,146,790 times on the first day of release, entering the 17th place of Spotify Daily Top Song. As of October 29th, it has topped the iTunes Top Song Charts in 99 countries and regions around the world.
