BTS Jin ranks as the highest Asian male artist in “Top Instagram influencers in the United States” for 150 days
BTS Jin showed his immense popularity and presence by ranking as the highest Asian male artist in the list of “Top Instagram influencers in the United States” for 150 days.
Jin ranked 14th in the list of “Top 1000 Most Influential Influencers in the United States” announced by the influencer marketing platform HypeAuditor on March 30th. He ranked as the highest Asian male artist for 19 consecutive days since March 12th and 36 days this year alone. Among men around the world, he ranked third behind singer Justin Bieber and soccer player Neymar.
Jin achieved a milestone of ranking first among Asian men for a total of 150 days, including 24 consecutive days from March 22nd last year and 107 consecutive days from October 3rd. Jin proved his overwhelming popularity in the United States even though he is serving in the military.
Jin, the only BTS member to rank in the top 50 of “Most Influential Influencers in the United States”, boasted impressive popularity along with the world’s most famous artists and celebrities such as Cardi B, The Rock, Dwayne Johnson and Shakira. Big Hit’s official account also attracted attention as it ranked 19th.
Jin became famous at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) for his handsome appearance. He made the public ask “Who is that handsome guy?” and was called “third one from the left”.
Billboard chose “third one from the left” as a meme of the year and said, ” The meme quickly took off, only increasing the group’s social presence and pushing them toward ‘household name’ status in America – all thanks to the third guy from the left.”
Despite opening a personal Instagram account on December 6th, 2021, which is later than other celebrities, Jin has been ranked high for a long time, showing off his unrivaled popularity and influence in the United States, where the world’s top superstars gather.
Jin’s first solo single “The Astronaut”, which was released on October 28th last year, made history as the first million seller solo single certified by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA). Jin was highly praised by the public and critics for his tone and solid high notes, raising expectations for his future musical career as a talented vocalist.
