BTS is rewriting K-Pop history once again at the 65th Grammy Awards

BTS is given the chance to rewrite the history of K-pop once again.

On Nov 16th (Korea Standard Time), BTS is nominated for two categories at the 65th Grammy Awards.

BTS is nominated for the “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” category for their collaboration track “My Universe” with Coldplay, and for the “Best Music Video” with the title track “Yet To Come” of their anthology album “Proof” released in June this year.

In previous years, BTS has been nominated for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” with their hits “Dynamite” and “Butter.” Including “My Universe” this time, BTS has been named in the same category for three consecutive years. On top of that, their track “Yet To Come” is nominated for two categories, setting another tremendous record.

BTS is the first in Korean pop culture history to be nominated for the Grammy Awards for three consecutive years. The group proved once again that everywhere they go is the path of making new history.

“Grammy Awards” has named BTS as its award presenter, performers of its collaboration stages, and its nominee three times. The group was even given their own stages at the award ceremony, but they didn’t win the award. However, many are paying attention to whether BTS will be able to achieve their first Grammy award as the group has been nominated in two categories for three consecutive years.

Meanwhile, after failing to win the “Grammy Awards” in April this year, BTS expressed their regret. Ji Min said, “I was really sad. As Koreans, I wondered how far our music could reach, and I thought it would be a great way for us to repay ARMY, so I really wanted to receive it.” V also expressed his regret, saying, “We all acknowledged it, but I still cried.” At the same time, Jin stressed, “We will try as hard as we can because we have not only this chance, we can continue to challenge this.”
