BTS got teary-eyed at their 1st offline concert after 2 years: “We’re happy to meet you guys again”

BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) exchanged emotional greetings with their fans ARMY at their first offline concert in two years.

BTS officially held their “BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA” at 7:30 p.m. on November 27th (local time) at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

The concert is BTS’s first face-to-face concert in two years and a month since their concert “LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF [THE FINAL]” at Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul in October 2019. As there have been only online performances in order to prevent the spread of the pandemic, the excitement and expectations of ARMYs around the world as well as BTS members were ragingly hot.

The stage that marked the opening of their first concert after such a long time was “ON”. “ON” is the title song of BTS’s fourth full-length album “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7” released in February last year. Since the current pandemic has been spreading around the world since early last year, it is the first time for BTS to perform this song in front of their fans.

After that, BTS performed “FIRE,” the title song of their special album “Young Forever” released in May 2016, and “Dope,” a song from the mini-album “HYYH pt.1” released in April 2015. As fast-beat songs accompanied by high-level performances continued, the atmosphere of the concert hall heated up quickly.

After the opening stages, BTS officially greeted ARMY on the offline stage for the first time in two years. The seven members said, “Hi. We are BTS”, before greeting and introducing themselves one after another. ARMYs also responded with enthusiastic shouts.

The members said, “I really, really missed you guys, nice to meet you guys again,” “I’m so happy to meet you again at the stadium,” and “I Purple You (an inside expression between BTS and ARMY, meaning I love you).”
