IU said, “I really didn’t expect that many fans gathered from the time I entered Cannes to the red carpet event. Even on the red carpet, I saw fans hold my CD and ask for an autograph, so I thought it was a hidden camera. A lot of things happened yesterday.”

Regarding her emotional appearance after the official screening of “Broker”, IU explained, “It’s true that I was moved and overwhelmed, but in fact, my eyes didn’t turn red. I know it because it’s my body. There was no change in my eyes. It’s a bit difficult to explain, but it’s true that I was overwhelmed with emotion.”

When asked if IU saw her being mentioned as a candidate for the Best Actress award during the evaluation of “Broker” by foreign media, IU replied, “I didn’t look for this content myself. The officials told me. I read some translated ones, and of course it feels so good.” IU expressed her wish, “I hope to receive good responses in Korea as well.”

IU shared her feelings about attending the Cannes Film Festival, “I couldn’t really feel anything yesterday. When I opened my eyes, I was here. When I was told to stand, I was there. I wondered if this would happen in my life. I’ve been active for a long time and I’ve experienced many things, but yesterday was a special day in my life. However, I was nervous and puzzled, so I didn’t enjoy it much.”
