“Bread, Love and Dreams” lead actress delivered heartbreaking news

Herald POP reported on Dec 30th that actress Lee Young-ah‘s father, Mr. Lee Cheol-woo, passed away on Dec 29th.

The coffin will be borne at 9 AM on Dec 31st. The burial site is Seoul Memorial Park.

Lee Young-ah is reported to be guarding the mortuary in grief.

Lee Young-ah debuted as an actress in 2005 through SBS’s drama “Land” after majoring in dance at Hanyang University’s ERICA campus.

She gained recognition starting from KBS2’s drama “Golden Apple” in 2005.

She appeared in various dramas such as MBC’s “Love Can’t Wait”, SBS’s “Golden Bride”, “Iljimae”, KBS’s “Empress Cheonchu”, “Dream of the Emperor”, OCN’s “Vampire Prosecutor Season 1”, “Vampire Prosecutor Season 2” and “Cheo Yong 2”. In particular, she received much love from viewers for her role as Yang Mi-sun in KBS’s drama “Bread, Love and Dreams”.

“Bread, Love and Dreams” aired from June 9th, 2010 to Sep 16th, 2010 and achieved remarkable success with ratings exceeding 50%. It became the top-rated drama of the 2010s, the top-rated KBS mini-series drama and the top-rated KBS HD drama.
