Brave Girls’ contract renewal after their reverse success? Can’t communicate with agency, fans put up banners to protest

After gaining popularity when their song belatedly climbed back up the charts, Brave Girls is now in danger of the “7-year curse”.

Brave Girls debuted as a 6-member group in 2011, but after a reorganization, they re-debuted as a 4-member group on February 16, 2016. On February 16th, it will be Brave Girls’ 7th anniversary of their debut.

According to the standard contract established by the Fair Trade Commission, Brave Girls’ contract with their current agency, Brave Entertainment, expires in February this year.

However, as the news of contract renewal has not yet been reported, some Brave Girls fandom FEARLESS are expressing their dissatisfaction.

This is because since Brave Girls appeared on Mnet’s “Queendom 2” last year, they have only attended events and not made a comeback. Since their first concert was postponed indefinitely due to the pandemic, there has been no updates on the concert either.

Tired of waiting, fans of Brave Girls held a banner protest in front of the agency last month. Fans called out the agency on the severe lack of communication with fans.

Fans said, “The agency does not respond to fans’ requests for communication. The fandom’s support is betrayed”, “Please do something to stop people from leaving Brave Girls’ fandom”, “Brave Entertainment is useless,” criticizing the agency.

Some fans flocked to Brave Entertainment’s Brave Brothers’ Instagram to express their frustration and said, “This is all your fault,” “I hope you’ll be forgotten by the public again,” “It’s the renewal period, but I just want Brave Girls members to voluntarily leave this company and set up their own company like HIGHLIGHT (formerly Beast).”

Brave Girls did not receive much attention after their re-debut and was on the verge of disbandment, but in February 2021, their song Rollin’ had a resurgence on various music charts.

Since then, the Brave Girls have risen to the top, leaving records such as winning first place on terrestrial music shows in 2021, taking first place on the Melon monthly chart for three consecutive months, and entering the daily chart for 547 days in a row.
