Both the male and female leads of a drama did not attend the 2022 KBS Drama Awards even though they won Best Couple

Seo In Guk and Oh Yeon Seo were honored with Best Couple at the 2022 KBS Drama Awards but both were absent from the event.

The 2022 KBS Drama Awards was held on December 31st, 2022 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. Jeon Hyun Moo, Lee Hye Ri and Jung Yong Hwa hosted the event.

When it came to the announcement of Best Couple winners, MC Jeon Hyun Moo said, “As much as the Daesang, this is also an interesting award. Let’s meet couples that showed off amazing chemistry with various feelings, from sweet to affectionate to sad”. He then called out the names of the couples one after another.

7 couples, including “Curtain Call” Kang Ha Neul & Ha Ji Won, “Three Bold Siblings” Kim Seung Soo & Kim So Eun, “Jinxed at First” Na In Woo & Seohyun, “Bad Prosecutor” Do Kyung Soo & Lee Se Hee, “It’s Beautiful Now” Yoon Shi Yoon & Bae Da Bin, “The Law Cafe” Lee Seung Gi & Lee Se Young, and “Bloody Heart” Lee Joon & Kang Han Na, went up the stage to receive the award.

Unexpectedly, there was one more Best Couple winner. It was Seo In Guk & Oh Yeon Seo of “Café Minamdang”. The two’s names were not called out because they were absent from the awards ceremony. Instead, their moments in the drama were shown briefly on the screen.

There was no specific reason for the absence of Seo In Guk and Oh Yoon Seo.

Meanwhile, KBS2’s drama “Café Minamdang” ended on August 23rd, 2022 with 18 episodes.
