BoA Directly Criticizes Haters Who Bash Her Appearance 

On March 29th, BoA posted a selfie on her Instagram with a caption saying “If I don’t take care of my appearance, you swear at me, but even if I do, you still swear at me”. The released picture shows BoA wearing a comfortable outfit and looking at the camera.

The female singer expressed discomfort over the recent controversy over her appearance. She said, “You guys told me to gain weight when I lost too much weight, but after I gained weight, you said I looked like a pig”.

BoA straightforwardly criticized haters, saying “I don’t know how you guys look, but don’t waste your time in life for things like this”. She confidently boasted about her appearance, saying “Sorry but I’m BoA”. 

In an interview with Channel A News on March 30th, BoA drew attention as she shared, “I hope that celebrities, who always have to show their lives to the public, don’t have to face such frustration”, and complained about malicious comments.

BoA recently appeared in tvN’s drama “Marry My Husband”, which ended in February. At the time the drama was on air, she suffered harsh criticism from viewers. Some criticized her appearance, saying “Her face changed a lot”, “I think she got lip surgery”, “Her acting looks so awkward”, “Her face muscles don’t even move”, etc.

On an Instagram live broadcast, BoA emphasized, “Overlip… It spread like that because I have the habit of biting my lips. A lot of people are worried about my lips, I’m fine. You guys don’t have to worry about me”.

Born in 1986, BoA is 37 years old this year. She made her debut under SM Entertainment with the first album “ID: PEACE B” in 2000. Later, she achieved a successful music career as a solo singer with activities in both Japan and Korea and gained the nickname “Star of Asia”.
