Hong Xa-bin, who won Best New Actor at Blue Dragon Film Awards with the movie “Hopeless”, will be enlisting in the military
On December 19th, the agency Sem Company announced that Hong Xa-bin will enter the training center and fulfill his military duty as an active-duty soldier after completing basic military training.
Through his agency, Hong Xa-bin said, “After finishing the movie ‘Hopeless’, I decided to enlist as an active-duty soldier. Although it’s important to welcome and wait for good projects, I believe it’s more crucial to naturally accept the ordinary moments that come in life. This realization led me to make this decision.”
Hong Xa-bin achieved recognition by winning the Rising Star award at the 8th London East Asia Film Festival and later receiving the Best New Actor award at the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards for his first leading role in the movie “Hopeless”.
