Making a comeback with BLACKPINK after a year and 10 months, Rosé cried when she saw fans in person.
Earlier today (August 19), videos of BLACKPINK’s Rosé talking to fans and crying while she was sitting in a car were shared on Twitter and various online communities.
Specifically, after a schedule, Rosé’s car was parked on the roadside so she could greet fans. As she was moved by being able to meet fans in person after a long time, she got emotional and burst into tears.
Today also marks the first day of BLACKPINK’s long-awaited comeback after a hiatus that lasted a year and 10 months. At 1 PM KST, the group dropped their pre-release single “Pink Venom”.
BLACKPINK debuted in 2016 with “Whistle” and “Boombayah”. They have emerged as a top-tier girl group with hits such as “As If It’s Your Last”, “DDU-DU DDU-DU”, “KILL THIS LOVE”, and more.
In particular, BLACKPINK’s 1st full album “The Album”, released in 2020, set a record for selling more than 1 million copies for the first time in the history of a girl group. It also ranked #2 on the US Billboard’s main album chart “Billboard 200”.
