BLACKPINK’s Lisa breaks another record of Kpop female solo singers on Billboard Hot 100 with her title track ‘MONEY’ of her debut solo album.
According to the latest chart released by Billboard on November 9th (local time), Lisa‘s ‘MONEY‘ ranked No. 93 on this week’s Hot 100. Although the ranking is down 3 places from last week, Lisa is the first female K-pop soloist to chart on Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row.
Lisa‘s impact is even more outstanding on Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global (excluding the US), which ranks based on streaming and music sales without including traditional broadcast scores. The title song ‘LALISA‘ and the b-side ‘MONEY‘ both spent 8 weeks in the top 10 of both charts.
‘LALISA‘, released on September 10, not only ranked 84th on Billboard Hot 100 in the first week of its release, but also dominated the iTunes Top Song chart in 72 countries and Top 100 Global YouTube Songs for two weeks in a row.
‘MONEY‘ has continued the success of ‘LALISA‘. The song topped the iTunes Top Song Charts in 38 countries, and is creating a sensation on various global major charts more than a month after the song was released.
In particular, ‘MONEY’ climbed to No. 5 on the Spotify Global Chart, the world’s largest music streaming platform, making it the highest-charting song by a Korean female solo act on the platform.
Moreover, Lisa was recently featured in DJ Snake‘s new single ‘SG‘, which topped iTunes charts in 41 countries. In addition, ‘SG‘ not only entered the Top 10 on the Billboard dance/electronic chart, but also hit No.1 on the Latin digital song sales chart.
Amid the global ‘Lisa craze’, love calls from American radio programs, talk shows, and interviews are pouring towards her. Lisa, who has already achieved amazing results only with music release and without active local broadcasting activities, will further promote overseas thanks to the support of her fans.
