BLACKPINK’s Honors and Now aespa’s Turn: K-pop Girl Groups Receive Royal Treatment in the UK

aespa has been selected as the only K-pop act in the Financial Times’ “25 Most Influential Women of 2023”

According to FT’s list, aespa, in the creator category, shares recognition with global figures like Beyoncé, Margot Robbie, and Phoebe Philo.

FT highlighted aespa’s achievements, including Coachella attendance, world tours, and three consecutive albums with first-week sales surpassing one million copies.

aespa’s introduction was written by curator Choi Yujin, who planned the exhibition “Hallyu! The Korean Wave” at the V&A Museum in the UK.

aespa, after releasing the mini-album “Drama,” continues to gain immense popularity with top rankings on Korean music charts.

aespa is scheduled to perform at the Melon Music Awards 2023 on December 2 at Incheon Inspire Arena.

In the leadership category of the FT list, figures like Mira Murati, OpenAI CTO, and Ursula von der Leyen, EU Executive Director, were selected. In the hero category, names like Olena Zelenska, Ukraine’s First Lady, stood out.
