BLACKPINK united in live broadcast, positive sign of contract renewal?

All 4 members of BLACKPINK gathered in a recent live broadcast, gaining strength amid rumors of their contract renewal statuses

On November 21 (local time), BLACKPINK’s Rosé, Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo appeared at Buckingham Palace in the UK, as special guests for a State Banquet held by the country’s King and Queen to welcome Korea president Yoon Suk-yeol, who is on a state visit.

During the banquet, BLACKPINK was mentioned in King Charles’ speech, which also highlights the influence of K-pop.

This gathering marks the first time BLACKPINK united after their last concert in Seoul in August, showing a positive sign for the group’s contract statuses amid various rumors.

Previously, when it was reported that BLACKPINK recently completed their group contract with YG but signed individually in other agencies, YG Entertainment stated, “Negotiations (with BLACKPINK) are ongoing, nothing has been confirmed.”

BLACKPINK, who celebrates seven years of activity this year, is currently in discussions with YG Entertainment regarding a possible contract renewal. Recently, they were selected as the winner of “Top K-pop Touring Artist” at the “2023 Billboard Music Awards”.
