Lisa, in the spotlight due to the rumor of a failed $40 million re-contract, draws attention with her recent Instagram post
On September 23rd, BLACKPINK Lisa posted concert photos with the caption ‘You’re not invited.’
In the photos, Lisa strikes a stylish pose in her performance outfit in a parking lot.
After wrapping up BLACKPINK’s Seoul encore concert in Gocheok Sky Dome, Lisa, who had been inactive on Instagram for a while, left a message for her fans in Korean along with behind-the-scenes photos of the concert. She expressed her love for her fans, “Our lovely BLINKs, thank you for ending this world tour wonderfully with me. It was such a beautiful and precious moment, shedding tears together and saying what I wanted to say to BLINKs. I had a really happy time throughout the tour. I love you.”
Recently, as the contract renewal season for BLACKPINK members approaches, there was a rumor circulating online that Lisa had been offered a contract fee of around 50 billion won ($40 million) from YG but had rejected it.
In relation to this, YG has repeatedly responded that the company and Lisa are still “in discussion regarding the re-contract.”
On the other hand, YG announced on September 19th that the YouTube views of Lisa’s solo song ‘MONEY’ exclusive performance video have exceeded 900 million views.
This is just two years after its release in September 2021 and marks BLACKPINK’s eighth video to reach over 900 million views.
The song successfully entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Chart, reaching number one on iTunes ‘Top Songs Chart’ in 66 countries.
YG said, “Lisa has proven her status as a world-class soloist with explosive views solely through the performance video, not the official music video.”
