BLACKPINK’s concert in the virtual world is expected to bring a unique and new experience to fans. It is because 3D avatars of four members Ji-soo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa as well as three-dimensional sounds and spectacular stages will be created with PUGM’s high-quality technology. YG explained that the performances completed through motion capture will give off a realistic sense.

In addition, BLACKPINK plans to release their performances of their mega-hit songs and special tracks at the in-game concert “THE VIRTUAL”. Various other events are being prepared and after the concert ends, major collaboration game items, such as the members’ stage costumes and voice packs, will be released on Battleground Mobile.

This is the second collaboration between BLACKPINK and PUBGM’s Battleground Mobile. YG said, “We wanted to provide an opportunity for artists and fans to communicate more closely beyond borders and language barriers”, adding “Since it is a special and interesting challenge, we hope that the real world and the diverse charms of BLACKPINK will reach fans as new fun.”

Meanwhile, YG announced that the return of BLACKPINK as a whole group would come soon. According to reports, BLACKPINK will start shooting their music video in July and go on a world tour until the end of this year after releasing their new songs in August.
