BLACKPINK Jisoo’s suitability for the female lead role in Snowdrop is questioned due to her academic record

The article about BLACKPINK Jisoo’s academic level once made it to the top of Naver.

After 11 months with numerous drama comebacks of famous actors, the Korean small screen by the end of the year will witness the performance of BLACKPINK’s Jisoo in her first female lead role in JTBC’s Snowdrop. In the teasers and still cuts, Jisoo impresses with her gorgeous visuals.

However, aside from those who are looking forward to watching Jisoo in Snowdrop, some netizens doubt her suitability for the character. The reason is that Jisoo plays Young Ro, a first-year student who majors in English literature at a prestigious university. Some Korean netizens claim that Jisoo will not do well in this role because of her real-life academic record.

An article about Jisoo’s education level once entered the top trending on Naver. According to Dispatch’s research, Jisoo used to attend high school, but dropped out in her second year to focus on training at YG Entertainment. This decision reportedly has the support of Jisoo’s father – an industry insider.

Out of the 4 BLACKPINK members, Jisoo is also known to be the least fluent in English, while JennieLisaRosé, can all speak at least 2 languages fluently. This has raised concerns and sparked a controversy over the academic level of BLACKPINK’s oldest member.

In fact, although her education level is not high, Jisoo is still praised by her classmates for having a good personality.  She was once praised as follows:

“I studied with Kim Jisoo in middle school. Her eyes were huge and she was pretty back then, she’s even more beautiful now.

She was also very nice.  When I first started school, I didn’t have many friends.  Jisoo was in the class next to mine and she was friends with another girl that I don’t like.  That girl is the type who doesn’t want her friends to like the person she hates.  She went around talking bad about me and her friends, of course, were very hostile to me.  But when discussing, Jisoo took the initiative to talk to me first.”

The Korean BLACKPINK fandom, on the other hand, believes Jisoo has completed high school. She even attended Liberal Arts school. This is a school that focuses on the development of flexible foundational knowledge and skills. Liberal Arts focuses on critical thinking skills. Students will be exposed to a wide range of subjects.

Until now, YG Entertainment has never officially announced anything regarding the education level of Jisoo, so the female singer still receives many criticisms from the public.

Despite her fragile beauty, in fact, Jisoo is praised by fans as super cool thanks to her deep voice and relaxed smile. Her sociable personality also explains why she has a diverse group of friends, ranging from rebellious students to bookworms.

In fact, regardless of Jisoo’s education level, she still achieves great success in her singing career.  So fans still have high expectations for the acting talent of the BLACKPINK’s visual!
