BLACKPINK Jisoo has COVID-19, to be absent from Osaka concert in Japan

Jisoo of BLACKPINK has been confirmed to have COVID-19 and will not be able to participate in the Osaka, Japan concert.

On the afternoon of June 1st, YG announced on the fan community Weverse that, “Jisoo tested negative for mild cold symptoms on the 30th of last month but was finally confirmed positive (for COVID-19) on the same day.”

The agency also stated, “We and the artists have a strong determination to perform and fulfill our promise to the fans, but for the health of the artist and everyone’s safety, we have made the decision (for Jisoo) not to participate in the performance.”

Consequently, during the Osaka, Japan stop of their world tour “BORN PINK”, which will be held on June 3rd and 4th, Jisoo will be absent, and only three members, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé will be appearing.

Regarding this, YG said, “We understand the fans’ anticipation for the performance, so we kindly ask for your support as we will do our best to present the performance as scheduled.”
