BLACKPINK Jennie’s first solo variety show appearance with her dog Kuma…Captivate Kang Hyung Wook

BLACKPINK Jennie appeared on “Bodeum TV” and talked about her dog.

On May 26th, a video featuring BLACKPINK Jennie’s guest appearance was uploaded to the YouTube channel “Kang Hyung Wook’s Bodeum TV”.

Jennie, who appeared as a guest with her dog Kuma, showed her “true fan” side, “I’m a huge fan (of the Dog Guest Show). I wanted to show off my dog. You’re one of my favorite YouTube channels. Recently… Guri! Lee Changsub’s dog. I’ve watched a few.”

Jennie boasted of her dog Kuma and explained, “The dog’s name is Kuma, between 8 and 9 years old. I named him. Kuma is ‘bear’ in Japanese. When I first brought him, he looked a lot like a bear. How could I name him anything other than Kuma?” Kang Hyung Wook agreed, “He certainly doesn’t look exactly like a dog!“

Kang Hyung Wook said that Kuma is quiet compared to Pomeranians. Jennie refuted, “If he’s with me like this, he’s an angel. But as soon as I put him down, he turns into something else. Or when he sees a man, a motorcycle or a bike. He just loses it, completely.“

Jennie then introduced Kuma’s specialty. She ordered “sit”, “down”, “hand”, “high-five”, “bbang!” and all succeeded. Seeing Jennie ordering in English, Kang Hyung Wook asked, “I guess you taught him in English?“, Jennie replied, “Right, when I first brought Kuma, I should raise Kuma abroad, so I taught him English. My mom teaches him in Korean. He’s a bilingual dog.“

When asked “Do the other members have a dog as well?“, Jennie revealed, “Jisoo has Maltese, Dalgom. We used to have Dalgom and Kuma in our house. Rosé has Hank, and Lisa lives with Dobermann. We all like animals, so we always want to go over to each other’s house.” Kang Hyung Wook made everyone laugh by saying, “I don’t mind not having BLACKPINK. Just send the dogs.”
